833 Cavalletto
Design: Franco Albini (1950)
Description: This table reinforces the value of form and function, which highlights the direction of the research between methodology and rigor applied to all Franco Albini pieces.
Cavalletto projects a feeling of lightness combined with a perfectly made structure. The need for a construction plan that reduces the volume and weight appeared during the later design stages. The answer was provided by the dynamics of opposing forces: the traction and compression of the structural elements to achieve balance and stability.
Trestle table with top and frame in walnut stained mahogany, natural ashwood or ashwood stained slate color. The assembly is by means of screws and two dark brass pulleys which ensure the stability of the frame.
