Design: Charlotte Perriand
(1985)
Created by Charlotte Perriand in 1985 as a single piece for the retrospective exhibition that the Musée des Arts-Décoratifs dedicated to her career, this table’s simplicity of form is presented in close relation to the design of the
wool rug that accompanies it. Based on a geometric system of combinations that enhances the clean-honed, primary forms of the table, which appears to be suspended: a sculptural, visually dynamic form, the fulcrum and source of an atmospheric space that invites convivial enjoyment.
Matte black lacquered wood.
